Why do people wear green on St. Patrick's day?
St. Patrick's Day is an Irish holiday, and green has almost always been conected with Ireland. Perhaps this is because the hills of Ireland look so green. There is a legend that says that in Ireland's landcape there are 40 shades of green. Also, shamrocks, small three-leaved plants, grow wild in Ireland and stay green the year round.
